Engrish

Engrish

Engrish is a variation of English in East Asian countries. The term is a satire, because Japanese people usually confuse L with R. Engrish is easily found in advertisements, signs, clothes made in Japan, etc. There are also Japlish (Japan), Chinglish (China) and Konglish (Korea).
There are many factors that influence the evolution of Engrish. The first is the enormous difference between English and Japanese. The other factor is the difficulties in distinguishing L and R. There are other problems such as the omission of subjects, the word order, etc.
Engrish is mostly used in Japanese pop culture: music, video games and TV programmes.

  2. there are a lot of different English dialects, and people who are used to speak English in a determined way, and go to another place of the world wich the English pronounced is different, they will probably find difficulties in understand it.
