The 20's
19th century industrial techniques had already peaked and were no longer appropriate in a competitive world. British technology had been in decline since well before 1914. Post war Europe was in chaos and a return to the Empire days of before simply did not happen. The basic industries of ship building, coal and textiles never recovered from the slump they were in at the end of 1920.However, the 20's were a time of radical change caused by the many changes happening in technology with new advancements, discoveries, and inventions and is often known as the Roaring Twenties. Henry Ford had manufactured the cars and sold some 15 million Model-Ts by 1927, possibly the most significant change during the 1920´s . The music and fashion have undergone a revolution in the world, principally in England and USA.

ReplyDeleteFirst of all its a good post.
ReplyDeleteThe 20's was a crazy decade because people were trying to forget the bad things about the war and just have fun. It was a decade of many inventions and discoveries.
But i think the topic wasn't really about the multilingual world.
